I put the SS springs on my 63 SF without the extended front bracket. The ride height ended up being @ 1" - 2" lower than the old worn out springs with broken leafs. The ride is fine but without the extended hangar there is not as much arc or pre-load in the spring. So it would probably stiffen up a little with it installed, which I plan to do probably this winter. Paul L.
