RE: Bumper vendors?

Jeff, et-all,

With the Tri-City lovefest going on I figured I experienced a hick-up in
their system, but I got a guestamate of $1500.00 plus shipping and probably
more to do my 2. 63 Sport Fury bumpers. Said I had to ship my bumpers to
them they would examine them and let me know how much more. Told me that it
is usually to expensive or more than the bumpers are worth to ship them back
to me so they could properly dispose of them to not damage the environment.
Probably were they get their cores! Found a place here in St. Louis, MO.
Gateway Plating, that did a great job on all 4 bumpers for my Fury's for
$1000.00.

I checked several places this summer for bumpers for my 68 Sport Fury.
Tri_city wanted $1700 plus shipping to replate mine. They might do good
work, but that price is out-freaking-rageous to me! I ended but buying a
nice rechromed set from Musclecarbumpers.com in Georgia for $345 each
plus my cores. They said $150 each for cores if you didn'have any. They
also delivered them for free to the Chrysler Spring Classic at Nation
Trails in Columbus, Ohio. I couldn't find anyone to rechrome mine for
TWICE the price I could but them for. One guy around northern Ohio
wanted 4k to plate them!!
  I would recommend these guys.
