Were the outside of the inner fenders ( front wheelwells) also painted body color or black? Now the hard one-- what color was the factory upper A frames and lower control arms, spindle, lower ball joint arm and strut rod? I AN A HAPPY GUY! all things came together today and I got my front sub frame , firewall, inner fenders and K frame sandblasted and epoxy primed. No black firewalls on Mopar vehicles (with, perhaps, a couple of exceptions). There may be differences in colour to the eye due to the underhood areas not being exposed to the sun while the exterior of the car was.So you basically need one paint for both jobs. This is for my 64 Dodge440 and I want as close a match as I can to the factory red color. I want urathane rather than base coat-clearcoat. I do have an old color chip chart that gives the DuPont number. for factory paint. Also need something that will be available in a couple of years when I paint the rest of the car.
