RE: Fluctuating fuel pressure

I had something similar with a 70's Mopar.  Turned out the small rubber fuel line coming off the fuel sending unit at the tank was dry rotted; apparently not enough to leak, but enough to let air in. Replaced that hose and did not have the "pull out in traffic and stall" behavior.
