I seem to be snake bit when it comes to valve cover installation. In the past I have done well however just on the right side of my 383 I have installed 3 gaskets, different types and the one on now is leaking. I have old aluminum Cal Custom valve covers. I'm at the point of ordering new valve covers and another set or two of gaskets. Any suggestions as to what combinations work well would be appreciated. I understand there is a type of gasket that can even be reused. Best valve covers when it comes to sealing well? Best valve cover gaskets? Installation recommendations would be appreciated. I thought I had the problem corrected, I am headed on a road trip from Yuma Arizona to Lowell Arkansas with the car. The underside of the hood is a mess from the oil leaking. I want to fix it when I get to Arkansas.
