I built my 440 six pack with 625hp around a cast crank. It was
magnafluxed and sonic tested. It ran to 7000rpm regularly and was
still just as strong as the day I built it 5 years after.

If you are going to throw MEGA HP and nitrous or power adders, forged
would be the way to go.
