Subject: UK Mopars at Brooklands Museum

Hi all,

Been away a while - just been up to my eyes in other stuff - home
decorating, kids school committments, working on our other Mopar (69
Sport Satellite) etc etc..... you know how it is!!

Anyways, the old 63 is still up & running, and reliable as ever.
So headed on down to our 1st show of the year, at the Brooklands Museum
(site of Europe's first purpose-built motor racing circuit) for our
club's annual meet there.

Met up with a few other on the way - couple of Vipers, 3x Chargers and
a, ahem, M*stang.
Helped the Mustang with a jump start at our McD meeting point 40 miles
from Brooklands, then had to do the same when we got there for a
friend's 70 Coronet whose battery had died while queueing at the
entrance!

Didnt get to see all the cars there this time, as we were blessed with
great weather (2 previous years we had rain most of the day), so there
were more cars & people to see & talk to.
I also spent an hour or so at a talk (seminar?) given by Richard Noble
and his team who are planning their next attempt to break the current
Land Speed Record. Check http://www.bloodhoundssc.com/ if you're
interested in that kinda stuff.
Couple of facts stuck in my mind from that talk:
Theyre using an 800hp V12 engine just to power the jet & rocket engine's
fuel pump!
And if you're concerned about the environment and the vehicle's CO2
output (unlikley if you're reading this!), the 'car' emits as much CO2
in one year (based on 20 runs) as 4.12 lactating cows!!
Just thought I'd throw them in...

Anyway, here's some pics from last Sunday:
