Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 318poly w/goodies I have an Edelbrock 1407, 750cfm, manual choke carb that I got for $35 from a Corvette I was told. I got the rebuild kit and have started going thru it. George is wanting to try it on his 426 wedge. They were having troubles with it and when I took it apart I discovered some material, paper towel?, had been sucked into the fuel system at the seat area. I suspect that could cause some problems :-) Anyway, it was set-up with 1457 rods, 1432 primary jets and 1429 sec jets. For Georges 426 what would you reccomend for these choices. I have alot of jets, accel pumps, springs and rods so I can come up with about anything. Should I go back to Eddy factory setting or since this carb is maybe a little small for the 426 would it help to start out running it a bit richer up front. The jets in it would've made it a tad leaner. Thanks for your ideas. ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
