Re: torsion bar twist

I am resending this email from Schuyler to see if it is viewable now.
Thanks,
Gary H.

======================================================
I was wondering if there is a way to tell if a torsion bar was put in
backwards?
cuz in order to set the adjustment to spec, I have to crank the
adjuster just about all the way in
on the right side bar.

or maybe there's some other malady that would cause this?

I've been driving on it this way for several years now. I keep
thinking I'm gonna order new
torsion bars but then I start thinking reinforced control arms would
be nice.. and maybe new pivot pins
and bushings and maybe some of those adjustable strut rods while I'm
at it... who am I kidding , I can't afford all that ...
anyway I'm still driving on it... sometimes wondering if I am
flirting with disaster or not?

and thanks in advance for any help or knowledge
on this topic.

Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person. I.e., send parts/car transactions and negotiations as well as other personal messages only to the intended recipient, not to the Clubhouse public address. This practice will protect your privacy, reduce the total volume of mail and fine tune the content signal to Mopar topic. Thanks!
