Has anybody had a problem with replacement lower ball joint assemblies not mounting up to the lower control arms? Specifically, the stud is not long enough or does not press fit far enough in to the lower control arm, and the factory castle nut does not thread up far enough to allow you to insert the cotter pin through the stud. Trying to find my originals to see if the lower ball joint stud is maybe an 1/8 or 3/16 inch longer. That's about all we need. We're past the point of 110 foot/pounds of torque per the shopmanual and I don't think we can torque her much more to pick up that clearance for the cotter pin. My front end kit is from PST. Put another way, do you suggest we get out the persuader (long piece of pipe) or is there a possibility the stud length is just a hair too short? Thanks for any suggestions.
