${top_text_ad} I can relate. People at an ALL MOPAR show were drooling over my car at how clean my 1963 Polara is. It's got a 472 Hemi. When it came time for the awards (top 25 cars) I did not win anything. Top 25 and I did not take 1. Anything in the high impact colors won even if it was a turd. Here's the kicker, Galen Govier was at this show and he was asked to pick his best of show, are you ready for it.......1993 Daytona Iroc. Our 62-65 Mopars are not even popular at Mopar shows, imagine at a mixed show. Just have to face it, we are a different breed of enthusiasts, none the less we must remain proud!!! Unless your Mopar is a Hemi Roadrunner, Charger, GTX, or SuperBee, you are usually out of luck on trophies. Hemis rule. I have won many trophies (including Best In Show) for my '55 Chevy, '69 SS396 Camaro, '68 Shelby GT350, '68 1/2 CobraJet Mustang, and '66 L79 Corvette, but none for my '64 Dodge Polara 500. Most people have no clue what year or make it is, just too few of them around now and in the past. Heck, it took me 15 years to find a survivor, good condition '64 Dodge Polara 500, they are just rare. > > Mike in New Mexico -- Steve '63 Hemi Polara ${bottom_text_ad} ---- Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
