Re: Buy vs. Build

I agree. I enjoy the build more than the drive. My currrent project the HEEP is comng together at an alarming rate. I am not in a hrry either , it is just peole bring me stuff i can use so what am i supposed to do? My wife linda mentioned to me last week Do you realize you nw have 4 cars? I hadnt really thought about it. i just enjoy it. She says it is myknitting and f one of her friends asks what i am doing she says "he is krafting". BTW our former list member Christophe Schwartz who used to have a 62 Ply wagon when he was on the list several years ago was running around Nurburgring Sunday with one of my 400s .Turn up the volume for the 8 second video. Reminds me of a Road Runner cartoon. This former list member is really making a name for himself in Europe. He says the 62 Ply wagon is now in Austria.

Don you hit the nail on the head, while I'm not a mechanic (not even
close)with a little guidance I can get a few things done..

George was kind enough to come over to point a few thing out and give me
some tips on how to do it, as well as the great info provided by the
members here.. between that and just plain old elbow grease removing
rust and "restoring" the old paint. I will actually have a decent driver
I can be proud of this summer (a "10 footer" instead of a "20 footer"...
ha ha)

buying can definitely be cheaper than building...

not to get all Zen on you.. but for me, the journey is just as important
as the destination ;)

I think all folks who buy should be, never mind you know. Even thouse
who
cant do it all can do something. I offered mine for sale to a friend
last
week. He is pretty close with a buck so i figured it was a safe get he
woudnt bite but if he did I would have to honour my price.
