Amen Bill. And it depends on who you talk to when asking questions. If they think you are taking up there valuable time, they will blow you off with some lame excuse. Thank goodness for the people that care enough to find your answers..........................MO ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Watson" <wwatson6@xxxxxxx>

That era appears to be a black hole for Chrysler Historical. I asked about my LA-built 1962 Dodge Lancer and they could supply me with the build record but little else - no specs and no production numbers. And this was in 1993. So don't blame Cerberus. What angers me about this slop passed off as an informative article is that the author has based his whole article on hearsay. Nowhere does he state he spoke to some person of authority at Chrysler Engineering or, actually, to anyone who works there now. You would be surprised the difference in stories you get when speaking to someone who has worked at the company for umpteen years and is still is there as opposed to someone who used to work there but was escorted to the door some years back. Not to mention the stories people who have never worked there but heard from some friend, who was told by his neighbour, who heard it from his wife's hairdresser, who heard it from the postman, who heard it from someone who worked at the Hamtramck plant who was told about it by his grandfather ten years after he died, etc., etc. Also remember Cerberus lost control over Chrysler the moment Chrysler applied for bankruptcy. The Chrysler auto company that rose from bankruptcy has four shareholders - the UAW, Fiat, the American government and the Canadian government. No Cerberus. And no Germans.Bill Vancouver, BC----- Original Message ----- From: <thepulpitmaster@xxxxxxx>To: <1962to1965mopars@xxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 28, 2009 11:16 AM Subject: Re: Chrysler Archives Destroyed?!?!In a message dated 7/28/2009 1:07:45 P.M. I asked for information on my Dodge Custom 880while I worked for Chrysler and no one could find anything about the car. It was is if it were never put into production. We are now left to getinformation from other owners of our great cars. I hope the answers we needare being well kept!
