Re: some thoughts on my past snobberies

I must have been lucky or unlucky three times. Although these were not
Mopars, they still got away from me. There first was a 1954 Packard
convertible. It was yellow with a tan canvas top for $800 and in very nice shape.
The guy told me the price goes up $100 per year. My Dad said "NO, you will
kill yourself." The second was a 1957 T-bird on a lot for $2,000. I
begged and begged my Dad to help me get a loan for it. Again I got the same
response of NO! Well, I for got one. A 1964 Dodge Custom 880 two door
hardtop that my Mom had. I wanted that car so bad. I bought a new Buick in
1973 and gave her the keys and told her she could have it, but I get the
Dodge. She learned the same word from my Dad, NO. She sold it 2 years later
for $300, I was crushed. But today, I have 2 1964 dodge Custom 880's, one
convertible and 1 a 2 door hardtop! Every story has a happy ending!
