Oil Pan Question

Hi,

There is a very detailed article about the 187 pan not fitting our 62-65 
big block engines.  

What is the story about the 402 pan?  Will it fit?  It seems to taper 
like the correct pan.

I'm really having a tough time finding an oil pan for my wife's 64 
Polara 500 ragtop.
