I used to refinish furniture, too. My buddy, a body man, saw me spraying a cabinet one day and said "you've got the touch...remember, don't tilt your arc and don't arc your tilt". The actual painting is the easy part... I HATE sanding! Using an HVLP gravity gun was the best change for me, it puts a LOT less paint in the air, so less overspray.
