I'm in the process of replacing the intake manifold on my 383 and when I opened the intake pan box it had open heat crossover ports. I'm sure I ordered a pan with closed crossover ports, I guess I made a mistake placing the order. I have an old Edelbrock dual plane manifold that has the heat crossover in the manifold. Is there any reason not to use the pan I have or should I order the one with the heat crossover blocked? I have the heat riser locked open and live in Arizona where I don't think I need any extra heat in the manifold.
