Getting better

Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 318poly w/goodies

The combo I tried yesterday wouldn't hardly let me get out of the
garage. Today I did a rod change and swapped the coil. Would barely run
till it started to get warmed up but remember I don't have any choke
mechanisms. After it warmed up it started running quite good.
It was blazing hot here today and my cooling issues seem to be gone. The
new radiator works great! It only ran barely mid-range in 100deg weather
here. If you're watching the college world series you know how hot it
got here in Omaha the last couple days.

I got a deal on the Accel Super coil #1840 from my NAPA store. They sold
it to me for $31 including the $5 shipping cost since it wasn't in
stock. Got it overnight too. The other stores wanted $50 but they had
them on the shelf.

Doing so many changes at the same time can help hide the true culprit
behind problems. I prefer to make one change at a time but that's not
always convenient. I still have that nagging miss at the top end of the
rpm range. Probably I'll check out the ECM next. It's the NAPA one that
I abused with a bad wiring system. Any local guys got one I can borrow?
