That particular product is known as a modulator. Most (if not all) the ones 
they sell these days are for FM, as the AM only market is pretty limited. 
(Most people are trying to add CD, MP3, or Satellite to their AM/FM unit.)
The classic car market is probably the only group that would still find an 
AM modulator useful, so if they're making them (again?), that's good news.
Note: You can also buy modulators for older TVs which go inline with the 
rabbit ears and let you tune the TV to channel 3 or 4 to see/hear the DVD 
player you plugged into the modulator. The old adapters for Atari/Nintendo 
did basically the same thing, but weren't as universal. The HD conversion 
boxes use the same idea.
