440 Question

I found a 440 with very low miles on it,, that seems to runs v. good,,its out of a 73 Camper.  Is it worth it to put engine in a Machine a Shop, have it all checked out , cleaned up and install a new timming chain,nice cam, and headers, then put it on my 65 500 with a new 727 trans. 
 
Please give your take on this task,,and or any recomended changes.
