426 Wedge engines had the very large chrome air cleaner. I believe the 383 had the same in black, but I cannot remember if it had a snorkel.

I am wondering about the applications of the dual snorkel air cleaners. My '64 Dodge Polara 500 (383 2 bbl.) has a single snorkel and factory A/C. I have looked at the dual snorkels and the driver side snorkel would interfer and not clear the A/C assembly that comes off the compressor. So were these air cleaners used only on non-A/C cars and perhaps only the 426 or 413 engines in the '60s?Mike in New Mexico -- [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ----Please address private mail -- mail of interest to only one person -- directly to that person.
