RE: crank dampener install

Thanks for answering my question, and for making me laugh, Don! He is a
bit of a numbskull at times. He's trying to tell me now that a 1975
Carter 318 BBD is too lean for my 1969 318. Maybe I just need new
friends!!

seem a bit rough but back in the day 40 years ago there was nothing
else. I usually set the damper in front of a heaterfan for about 1/2
hour and lube the shaft well. the first pop till it gets to bolt depth
is so easy sometimes you think you could almost push it on. How do you
thnk it gets installed at the factory? Quickly would be # 1 there. Sure
an installer would be nice but ----------- well you know.
