Over on the Forwardlook site. there is a whole section of complaints about G. Laurie. His talent is good as it gets but his communication is bad as it gets. Maybe he is good enough to get away with it, but he won't ever get any of my money. Surely there is someone eles in the world who can do this and take care of business properly. I bet if you had his money held until he got the product done --it wouldn't take so long!!!.........................MO.........sw iowa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wakeman Massie" <wakey@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Just a follow-up, I telephoned George in Australia today and actually got ahold of him.By now it's been six months, still no replies to my emails and no lenses. Anyway, George does seem like a nice enough fellow, and said he has my lenses done and ready to ship (??!). Of course there were innumeral reasons why there's been no return communications for six months, but suffice to say he's promised to get the lenses out immediately.I'll let you know how it goes. WakemanHi Everyone, I'm wondering if anyone on the list has had any contact with GeorgeLaurie (Lensmaker, Australia, listed on Vendors page) in the past couplemonths.I bought & paid for a set of his '62 Dodge park lenses in early Sept, at which time he confirmed receipt of the payment and told me it would be upto 2 months for my lenses to be finished.I certainly expect delays with stuff like this but it has been 4 monthsnow, and I have emailed him a couple times with no reply. Perhaps he has changed his contact info? Any leads appreciated.
