Rich, I had a 318 LA in a '63 Fury 2dr in the early 70's that I put many many miles on. It was a Carter 2bbl, had dual exhaust and 3:23 gears. I distinctly remember it being a regular 18 mpg car, 'cause in those days keeping gas in the car meant freedom, and being in that car and chasing girls was top priority. One of those cars I wish I still had, but sold it about 10 years ago. It was a 440 car then, and went to Wisconsin.
