I bought a '65 4-barrel intake for my '64 Valiant on impulse, and it's the stock iron "boat anchor." Has anyone seen one of these lightened? I thought about cutting out the webs to open up the space below the intake. This would lighten the whole affair, and isolate the intake a bit from the engine's heat. I would need to fabricate a valley cover then, and that would probably be the "fun" part. I am not opposed to looking for a nice aluminum intake, like the Weiand, or Offenhauser and passing this lump on to someone who loves it for what it is. Just a thought. thanks Jim O.
