you can use a 6 cyl. throtle cable, it will be a little long, but it is  
stock, and easily found in scrap yards, and  you can modify your existing  kick 
down linkage,

Do you remember  how long of a throttle cable you had to buy?

I have built an extended  kickdown linkage for me 73 Dart Sport before
and it was effective, but only  a mild PITA.

Any chance I can adapt the 66 setup (3 linkages) to the 65  setup (1 linkage)?
