In the case of the fuel pump you just use the fuel pump bolts as the fastening means. You should be able to find a bolt or screw somewhere on about anything to use as a fastener. Also you can get tyhin aluminum sheetmetal at many hardware stores and lumber yards. Not very expensive either. It even looks nice too.
