I recently heard a guy say "Lithium grease"? does that make sense?
Lithium works well in automotive and trailer wheels that are immersed in water, such as boat trailer axles. I still prefer graphite because it is a dry lubricant that dirt and dust doesn't stick to. It also never dries out, or gums up like vaseline  and  petroleum based greases do.
