We've had similar problems with our 63. We lubed it with Vaseline, which worked for a few miles, then it started 'screaming' and bouncing again. We sent it off to a cable manufacturer with a view to getting a new one made but they returned it saying there was nothing wrong. We then had the instrument cluster restored and the speedo rebuilt...... and it still does it. Think I'll be looking for an exorcist next...
