Re: Studebaker wheels?

I've heard that early Scotty campers used Studebaker wheels and I know that they have the same bolt pattern because I'm running Mopar wheels on my '77 Scotty. Hudson must have too because a friend of mine is running Mopar wheels on his '49 Hudson coupe. And of course Ford used the same bolt pattern but there can be a problem with the center hole size when putting a Ford rim on a Mopar. I would think the easiest place to find 15" Mopar wheels that still used the larger dog dish caps would be from a '60's Dodge truck. The 2 wheel drive trucks and A-100 pickups and vans had the same 5 on 4 1/2" bolt pattern.

Subject: Studebaker wheels?

Looks like Topica's back online now, so here goes...

Happy New Year to all 62-65ers from the UK!!

I read recently that Studebaker 15" steel wheels have the same stud
pattern (5x 4.5" presumably) as 'our' 62-65 b-bodies so can be used to
mount the early 10" dog dishes. Recommended by Bob Mosher, apparently!

Anyone on here tried this? What's the alternative if you want 15's with
early hub caps?

And does anyone know a source for these (and the hub caps), apart from
ebay?

Thanks in advance
