Re: Block Markings

NO, I realize that link didnt confirm or deny that V10 lifters would fit. That would be up to you to research. It was just a lead I found that could possibly solve your problem. Maybe an engine builder company (440source,Ray Barton, Jasper, etc) could confirm this, or send you in the right direction. How about Gary P, our resident Poly expert?

....and, Yes, every reference to the "diamond shape stamp" I have found, quotes the oversize as .008"

I don't see anything about V10 lifters fitting, just info confirming
Marks info about the diamond stamp...looks like except for a 4 barrel
swap, my project is dead. I'm not pulling the engine and having them
bushed...just not prepared to get that far into it.

As far as I know, no one sells them anymore. You could get the bores
bushed($$$).

So I finally got off my lazy a$$ and am doing the cam in the
Coronet. In tearing it apart I noticed a diamond stamped in the block
on the block deck surface, in front of the left head, up near the
intake. Does this have any significant meaning? I know the short block
in this car is not original.

Thanks
