Re: 1965 Ply pace car ID?

Gary,
    I had a 65 426 spd convt documented by
Govier and Chrysler...I also talked to this seller...
he does more than likely have a pace car...there was 3 for 65 and he has # 3 with stories from the original owner that back it up....he also has it pretty much sold already to a Pace car collector.

Subject: 1965 Ply pace car ID?

Hi all,

Is there a way to ID a "true" 1965 Plymouth Indy Pace car? Fender tag special number?

There is an ebay item (Item number: 250343206604) stating "THIS IS WE BELIEVE ONE OF THE ORIGINAL 4 EACH PLYMOUTH INDY 500 PACE CARS , NOT ONE OF THE 42 REPLICAS SOLD AT DEALERS"... (Sorry about the all caps- that's the way the guy typed.)

see http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250343206604&indexURL=4#ebayphotohosting

Thanks,
Gary H.
