electric fuel pump

Clear DayI have a question. When I let my 64 Dodge(maxi clone) sit for 5 to 
6 days I have to pump and pump to get the gas back into the carbs. If I get 
a electric fuel pump, will that fix the problem? Even when I go to a cruise 
or show and it sits for 4 -5 hours, I always have to pump it to get it to 
fire. I would love to just turn on the key push the gas pedal down and 
vroom!! And if a electric fuel pump will help what size?? Thanks
