For the dash removal without pulling the windshield, the key is to go to 
Sears and get a wrench that has a socket on a flex coupling at one end. 
The socket is something like a 3/8 or 7/16" - just look at the ones you 
can get an offset wrench on to determine the right size.  It's real 
tight between the glass and that line of bolts.  You just can't take a 
socket and a flex coupling and expect to get in there - too close.  That 
said, it's a very tedious job.  However, sure beats pulling the 
windshield and the associated cost and effort.
