Re: Interior Paint Code Help

I have Chrysler Corporation codes. The numbers in parentheses are the known Ditzler (PPG) codes. The red (Majestic Red for the interior and Vermilion for the exterior) was carried over for 1963, for which I do have all the Ditzler codes.

Gloss Finish -

--6 : C-1000-B : Black
--3 : C-2254-B : Autumn Tan
--4 : C-8575-B : Monitor Gray Metallic
--2 : C-3275-B : Sherwood Green Metallic
--5 : C-7090-B : Majestic Red (71203)
--6 : C-5189-B : Black Frost Metallic
--1 : C-2253-B : Baltic Blue Metallic
      : C-6055-B : Cordovan Metallic
--2 : C-3281-B : Pine Green Metallic

The above colours were used on instrument panel, windshield side and upper mouldings, pillar caps and mouldings.

On wagon models they were also used on headlining mouldings, rear shelf and speaker grille, inside hinges and arm rests

C-9121-B : Sparkle Silver Metallic

C-6055-SB : Cordovan Metallic
C-7090-SB : Majestic Red (71154)

These colours are used on instrument cluster housing, steering column, gear shift assembly.

Subject: Interior Paint Code Help

I'm restoring a 1962 Dart and am looking for information on interior paint codes.

I need to paint the dash and interior trim pieces in the factory red color. I've been told at two paint supply stores now that there aren't any interior codes for this generation of car, that they just need to do a match to what I have. Naturally I don't beleive this, I am sure there must be correct PPG (or other) codes somewhere. Not to mention I can't match what I don't have as the car had almost no interior when I got it, I'm piecing it together.

I am wondering if anyone has paint codes for these interior colors or knows a way to find them?

Many thanks,

Wakeman
