Changes in carbs, etc

Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 318poly w/goodies

Today I took the Eddy catbs apart and checked everything. I found that I
had put different springs in the two carbs. I'm sure that wasn't ideal!
I took my time and made sure everything matched. I increased the
accelerator pump nozzles from #28 to #33 and put the acuator midway.
That seemed to work very well. I put Orange springs in for the metering
rods and used 7047 rods with .086 primary and .095 secondary jets. I
checked the float height and drop. It ran much better with a much better
top end.

However, it died totally on a shakedown. It was the bulkhead primary
feed wire again. It fell out of the connector.so all power went bye bye.
I knew that right away and got it going in a flash. Then I tried again
this evening with my headlights on. It did pretty well until I tried
turning on my interior light with the light switch. The car started to
die instantly again. I flicked off the switch and the car began to
slowly come back to life. I gotta get the wiring issue fixed or it won't
run decent unless I switch back to points.

I hope I can find some time to start curing my real problems here.
