I run 11.70 to 11.5 in my 64 Maxxie with 4.10's. 3.90's are plenty to turn 
what ever you  are hoping for. I would think you need chassis, not gears. My 
Grand National only has 3.42's and runs the 1/4 in high 10's at 125.
