Re: VIN / trunk stamping?

I'm still a little confused on how to interpret the radiator support
and trunk stamping. My 63 Polara has "M 37 1" very clearly stamped on
the radiator support. But the fender tag says:
1001 0341 642 655 MM1
and there's nothing in my VIN that would suggest a "37".

Thanks.
