I've been using one for sometime, didn't change the cover, just sprayed it  
black, I know its short but who cares, and your right they work great!

As  seen in MoPar Action Mag! Autozone sells a replacement regulator VR706
that  is solid state and replaces the relay one that came on our cars.  Just
remove the cover from both regulators and replace the one from the new  VR
with the cover of the old one and there you have it todays tec that  looks
like original equipment. I ran a bead of silicone sealer around the  new part
to seal it. Works great!
