Last nights race

Rich Kinsley '64 Dodge Polara 4dr 318poly w/goodies

I took my car down to the drags last night. I'm still having big
problems with the top end performance. It died on me twice too at the
line. Embarassing! They were real nice and let me back into the lights
and go again. My times were off my best by .5 to 1sec.. One run it
really crapped out going into second. I had my fan running by accident
and I wonder if the 18amp draw it takes caused me some ign module
voltage problems? That run turned out about 11.05 @ 55mph. It really
fell down. I tried with and without vac advance and it seems better
without. The fuel is still very hot so I better get the Don D heat
shield installed until I change to the electric. I'm not adding anything
electric until I redo the wiring. Maybe a cool can would be a good idea
too. It is much better on the bottom end and my first gear is pulling
strong but the second shift poops out. I really creamed a Fox body
Mustang off the line and through first gear but then it staggered and I
got the 11.05 pass. He had a 10.2 and my previous best has been 10.1.

On a different note, my friend with the Malibu was a no show so I quess
I won by default :-)
