Front wheel bearings?

My front wheels have a little play when tug the tire in and out, so
I'm assuming I need new bearings.  I haven't changed bearings with
seals before.  Any advice / gotchas I should be aware of so I don't
screw it up?  This is a 63 Polara 500.
