Ollie; I agree, I am hoping I might get lucky like a friend of mine. He asked on a Cheby site he talks on and a member had three New under dash kits that fit his 62 sitting in his garage for the last forty something years thinking no one would want them, and just never tossed them. I guess one mans junk is anothers treasure has it's merits! My luck is not that good but I thought I might give it a try. I did the same on my Challenger that was a factory AC car, the vintage units are nice I like the servos in place of the cables and vacuum lines. The other angle of attack is get the head for in the car that every one can see and the rest new! Also your opinion is well given a compleat old used setup is looking for heartaches!!! And Free is Good! Ollie's Opinion.....its free anyway....The only way I would install... ANY... A/C system...would be all new parts. Below dash units were the norm Anyway. I installed a indash unit from Vintage Air in my 65 Satellite. It was a Factory air car so I used the factory vents. Works great !!
