I have to chime in loud! I see these cars more in one day than most list members see them in a year. I am a Tech for a Chrysler Dodge dealer. I also own a '06 Charger R/T and a '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee aside from my classics. I would have to say that Chrysler products do have high quality. Most of the problems that we see come from either a customer that doesn't maintain their car properly or simple software issues. Today I flashed the modules in 2 different 2 different cars. Easy fixes for what seemed to be complicated problems. We also repair cars for the rental car companies and a major East Coast auto auction. Most of that stuff is where someone abuses and breaks something but we force it through and get waranty to cover it. From what I hear about Toyota is that they are having serious oiling problems. The Camry's crankshafts break leaving the front two cylinders stationary. They also have lots of recalls that you don't hear about. Basically the foreign manufacturer customers don't blink about doing a timing belt, 30,000 mile service, front and rear brakes and all 4 tires in 1 trip. We, well we have a hard time getting these idiots to change their oil which only costs $24.95 when not on sale! Most of our major engine problems come from an idiot screwing up an oil change and we get it covered by Chrysler or carbon build ups from weak valvesprings for gas mileage coupled with people babying their cars and never blowing it out good with a run of over 3500 rpms. Sorry if I was a little long winded but I just had to put in my two cents from down here in the trenches!
