Well we did find out some info during the dyno test. We couldn't relly do a regular full pull because it was cutting out badly after about 3600rpm's. BUT we do know how to fix it so that's a good deal. It turns out my Mopar Orange ignition box is dropping off around 3600rpm. You could see it lose spark on the chart. He tested at the plugs and I don't remember but it was about only enough spark to maintain an idle and slightly above. There wasn't a replacement ignition box around so we had to settle for this right now. Also he didn't much like the MSD Power Towers as they keep coming loose too. I'll probably ditch them and go back to the stock type ends on my plug wires. We did do some carb changing but that may change again when we actually get enough spark. My air fuel ratio is pretty good right now for idle and low speed cruise. If I get up towards 60mph you can feel it start to break up. Not that this is any good reliable indication but the HP at about 60mph was 150. My old '59 Plymouth 318 power-pak showed 110hp at 60mph back in '63 on a dyno. Torque readings were unobtainable due to the various problems. I'm sure I can get a chrome ignition box in time for the Geezer Drags (June 7/8) but I can't get a dyno tune again for 6 weeks probably. I was there almost 3 hours and the total cost, incl a double set of Eddy metering rods, was only $202. I thought that was extremely reasonable. Oh I also got some speeds marked on my speedo so I know how fast I'm going. That helps. I'll try to get this fixed asap but in the meantime it does run good at idle and slow speeds so I can still do cruise night and my car club function at the Henry Doorley Zoo this week-end.
