RE: Difficult to start when hot



I'm not a chemical engineer, but I think oil refineries stopped using 
MTBE as an additive a few years ago (due to environmental concerns) and 
have replaced it with alkylate (also one of the reasons for the rising 
prices).  Also, the evaporative rate will change from season to season, 
as the EPA allows more additives in the summer to lower the evaporation 
rate (the more additives, the slower the rate).
