Any Holley carb experts out there willing to give me a hand as I help my neighbor with his Chevy? He installed an 800 double pumper right out of the box and now he has a mild stumble on light acceleration. I looked down the primaries while slowly activating the throttle, and it looks like a series of inconsistent squirts instead of a distinct stream. If it wasn't a brand new carb, I would recommend a new accelerator pump diaphragm, but like I said - this one is fresh out of a box. Also, I noticed that the nut that adjusts the accelerator spring lever is quite loose. I am not a Holley expert, but I thought that the more you loosen the nut, the more spring pressure is applied. I would appreciate your thoughts. Also, I don't want to break any clubhouse rules so I marked this off topic - I guess if it's for bowtie so maybe we should chat offline - although Holley tuning could be of general interest to the "team."
