Bleeding brakes

I just installed a rebuilt master cylinder in the 65 Dart yesterday and
I can't pump the brakes up to bleed them. The old mc worked, but
sometimes the pedal would go to the floor, then pump back up. Bled the
brakes, no air, so I figured it was the mc. The new lone won't even pump
up at all. Bench bled it per instructions first,no bubbles. Had the wife
helping me. If I plug the mc with the supplied plug the mc will build
some pressure, but as soon as I attach the line it looses all pressure.
I don't seen any leaks and like I said, the brakes worked before. I'm
thinking bad mc.....any other opinios? What am I missing?
Thanks
