Re: hardened valve seats

i use CD-2 super concentrated lead substitute. (stewart-warners alemite) is printed in small letters above that. 32 oz. is around $7. at wal-mart. one ounce treats 10 gallons. (320 gallons per bottle) and it has the seperated one oz. part of the bottle you squeeze your desired amount into. i.e. 1/2 ounce for 5 gallons if you want. (has two caps) i've been using it in my 64 for the last year and a half and have put close to 10,000 miles in that time and havent had to adjust my valves or had any problems out of the engine. its still running as sweet as always. theres actually a drawing of a valve on the label, and the bottle is milky/clear, the stuff inside is dark brown. a bottle lasts a looong time. so its worth the 7 bucks. hope this helps.
