Spark plug wire routing

I was just looking at the pictures that Robert posted of the '64 Sport 
Fury.  I noticed that the spark plug wires for the passenger side were 
routed between the alternator and the block.  I routed mine between the 
alternator and the valve cover.  Just curious about which way the 
factory routed them?
