First, thanks to all for your very helpful answers regarding my 63 Poloara. Tom, it's an interesting notion regarding my car being a Red Sox fan. It IS white with a red trim stripe and red interior. And it does seem to be a bit temperamental and moody. But it doesn't at all seem obsessive compulsive or pretentious and I've never once heard it play "Sweet Caroline" on the radio. Also, it doesn't at all seem jealous of my white with black trim 63 Polara 500 which is an original Max Wedge and is clearly a much stronger car with a far richer history of success. Since it is not exhibiting most of these characteristics that seem typical of the Red Sox fan, I'll dismiss your theory and start with the accelerator pump. But I appreciate the thought. - Jim Jim Altemose, Long Island, NY '63 Polara 500 (Max Wedge) '63 Polara 500 (383) '65 Belvedere I (Street Wedge) '71 Bronco On Fri, Mar 7, 2008 at 3:05 PM, Tom Duross <tduross1@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Jim- > > I remember reading of when you got your car. > The hesitation and idle problems sound just like my Belvedere. > I know the problem and the solution. > Your car is a Red Sox fan and wants to live in Boston. > I would be happy to give a home and even place a Red Sox sticker on it's bumper (bumpah). > > Happy Friday and I hope you figure things out (Not!). > Tom > (sorry GH but it is Friday!) > >
